Tim Holtz Tags of 2016 - December

As 2016 comes to an end here is another last of the year.  This is my December Tim Tag.
Sine I am not a Christmas person I didn't think this was going to turn out as nice as it did.  I found a pack of stickers in the bag of Christmas embellies and immediately knew this would work.  What love the most is it only took me about 20 minutes once I gathered all my supplies.

OK Tim, I'm ready for 2017 and lots of new techniques and ideas.

Tim Holtz Tags of 2016 - October

Halloween. It's my favorite time of the year. I always look forward to making Tim's Halloween tag. It's the one tag I usually have all the supplies for. This year was no exception.  I even managed to get my hands on some of this years line, which in southern NJ is not an easy feat since there are only big box stores in the area.

Thanks for checking out tag. I hope you like it.

Tim Holtz Tags of 2016 - July

The two techniques we remixed this month are Watercolor Resist and Layered Words. Both of these techniques are from our 2015 tags.  I enjoyed these techniques than and had a great time mixing them for this month because it's a Halloween theme.

After all it is my favorite holiday....

Tim Holtz Tags of 2016 - February

This month's Tim tag remixed the Monoprint (2014) and Embossed Texture Paste (2015) techniques. I made tags using these techniques separately, and I really love the way they look together.

Those of you who know me know that I am not a 'Valentine Day' person. However, every year I consider the February tag a double challenge.  Not only am I challenged by Tim, but I'm challenged to find Valentine 'stuff' in my stash.

I'm considering this month's challenges a success. Bring on March!

Tim Holtz Tags of 2015 - December

WOO HOO! I completed  all 12 of Tim's Challenges this year!

I was a little worried this one wasn't going to get finished in time because of the Holiday and the never ending list of to dos that goes with it, but I was able to complete it this morning.  I'm very pleased with how this tag turned out. Even though I didn't have any of the materials Tim used with some digging through my stash I was able to easily substitute the items.

Thank you for a fun year Tim. I looking forward to the challenges of 2016!

A Little Late...

...but worth the wait.

I finally completed my first assemblage clock.  Of course it's a Halloween theme since it's my favorite holiday.

To achieve the rust on the clock I used Verday Reactive Metal Paint. This paint is amazing as it reacts after painting and spraying the object with the patina solution.  It comes in four metal colors, and I love it.

Thank you Tim Holtz for this clock. I had so much fun making this clock I can't wait to start my next one.

Tim Holtz Tags of 2015 - October

This months tag is not one of my favorites. I was just not inspired by any of the Halloween dies and stamps in my stash.

Taking Tim's advice I did make the time to be creative and that was my challenge this week.  I also did some online shopping for new Halloween stamps and dies, and that made me happy.

Here's hoping I'm more inspired in November.

12 Tags of 2014 - November

Once again Tim's challenge got me thinking.  The only layered die I had was the Butterfly, and it was too big for the tag. I went with a Christmas theme since I really wanted to use this tree die I had.  I love the look using the corrugated cardboard, and the 25 covered in Festive Berries glitter was a perfect touch. OK Tim bring on December...

I Know It's Early, But...

Halloween is my favorite holiday!  I was inspired by a hat I saw on Pinterest for this project, and it much easier than I thought it would be.  The paper strips are 2x6 inches. I glued them down with Ranger cut and paste, and once it was dry I sealed it with Matte finish Modge Podge.  The decorating was the really fun part because I got to break out my boxes of Halloween embellishments. Yes, boxes! Did mention that Halloween is my favorite holiday?
